Suffolk County Web Design for Gabrielsen Farms!

A new website with e-commerce shopping cart – Suffolk County Web Design

Recently Madtempest teamed up with Peter Allen Associates and rebuilt and redesigned the online presence for Gabrielsen Farms, located out east on Long Island, in Suffolk County in Jamesport, NY. Prior to coming on board with Madtempest, Gabrielsen Farms had a very simple, very dated website. We handled every aspect of web development, from creating a new web hosting account, to transferring over all existing assets, new email boxes for staff members, to building and designing the website, and implementing the content management system and shopping cart and payment services.  Madtempest has been working in Suffolk County Web Design for over 20 years.

Brand new website for Goodale Farms!

It’s been a busy few months here at Madtempest Holdings, with lots of new work and web projects. We recently just launched a new website for Goodale Farms, based out of Riverhead, NY. In addition to being a traditional farm with lots of animals and a farm stand, Goodale Farms offers a home delivery program for a variety of products.  We were very excited to work on this project, and will be adding more features to the site in the coming weeks. Another fine example of Suffolk County Web Design by a local designer for a local business!

Lake Kanasatka Gifts – Greenhouse Farms Demo Site

Recently I was tasked with creating a demo site, something to showcase some features for a market we are looking to target, namely the greenhouses/farmers/growers located here on the east end of Long Island. This is another great WordPress/Woocommerce website design and shopping cart implementation.  So what does that have to do with Lake Kanasatka?  Nothing!

Years ago, my family would vacation up on Lake Kanasatka, in New Hampshire. It was so beautiful up there on the lake, and I had a brilliant idea to create a website selling Kanasatka-related merchandise. I never did get that site off the ground, but I have owned www.lakekanasatkagifts.com for quite a long time, and since I needed a URL for my demo site, I decided to use this one. It makes no sense, but for a test site that’s ok.

This is just a sample of what can be done with a nice clean design template coupled with a solid platform and a robust shopping cart system. If you own a business in Suffolk County and are looking for web design from a local expert, feel free to Contact Us.

Pixies: A Visual History Site Redesign

I was pretty sick for a few weeks recently, which was a perfect time to redesign the Pixies book website. It was something I’d wanted to do for a while, so not being able to talk on the phone or really go anywhere gave me the chance to do some new things with it.  I installed a new WordPress theme, set up a new WooCommerce cart system and really started from scratch.  I think the site looks great and really does a fine job of showcasing the book. What do you think?  www.pixiesbook.com

New Website for George Hernandez, CPA, PC

Sometimes we get so busy here at madtempest we forget to send out some updates! We recently started working on a brand new website for Huntington-based CPA, George Hernandez. Located on Carver Street, just off of Main Street in Huntington Village, George Hernandez, formerly of Frank Carollo and Associates, is starting fresh, but that does not mean he is new to the game. Mr. Hernandez has been providing financial and accounting services for many years. We here at madtempest are happy to be working with him, and wish him nothing but success. Check it out – www.huntingtonaccounting.com.

Teaming up with singer Rodney Crowell!

Back in 2007, David Bowie’s manager reached out to us to do some work for several other artists he was managing. One of those artists is Rodney Crowell, who has worked with everyone from Johnny Cash to Emmy Lou Harris to Nora Jones. We provided a fresh new site design to coincide with an album he was releasing at the time. Here we are, six years later, and Rodney is topping the Billboard Country charts with his new album. Of course with a new album comes a new website, and we are happy to be working with Rodney once more! Check out the new site at www.rodneycrowell.com.

Ninety Summers Later – New Art Work By Kayt Hester
Renowned Jersey City Artist Returns With Her Latest Groundbreaking Solo Show

Jersey City, NJ, July 29, 2014 – Kayt Hester returns with her fourth solo show at Jersey City’s LITM: “Ninety Summers Later” features portraits of the decadent models, actresses and showgirls of the 1920s. Her striking black and white compositions are accented with subtle hints and bold splashes of color, all created in Hester’s signature medium: hand-torn masking tape.

When asked about her inspiration for the show, Hester replied, “I was captivated by the glamour and decadence of the early 1920’s as evident in the flappers and showgirls of the period. The pinup girls, the gangsters and Prohibition really all set the scene for what I wanted to bring to my show.”

“Ninety Summers Later” will debut on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 from 7pm until closing at LITM, and will run until the end of August. LITM is located at 142 Jersey Avenue in Downtown Jersey City. A percentage of proceeds from this show will benefit the Hudson County Animal League, The Companion Animal Trust, and The Fussy Friends Cat Adoptions.

Shipping Summer 2014

Exciting news! After many years of working with the Pixies, I am working on a brand new project with them.  Called PIXIES: A Visual History, this 2-volume hardcover will span the complete history of the band, from the 80’s to present day. To get the project funded, I am turning to Kickstarter to release the limited edition of the books, but if all goes well there will be a trade edition released sometime next year.  My good friend and long time collaborator, Aaron Tanner of Melodic Virtue, is providing the design.
